It's that time of year again. That unforgettable evening when you brave the winter weather to get together for a wonderful cause: embarrassing yourself in front of your closest friends.
To make sure things run smoothly, here's a timetable for the evening. It includes everything, except for the exquisite food being provided by your hosts, and the sparkling conversation being provided by your good selves:

3. After Step 2 Open Envelope No. 2. (Contains: answers to Part 1, questions for Part 2 - rounds 7-12 + bonus question - and answer sheet) Read answers to Part 1. Groan and blame husband/wife.
4. By 10:00pm Complete answer sheet for Part 2. Fax, phone or email answers in by 10:00 pm.
5. After Step 4 Open Envelope No. 3. (Contains answers to Part 2 and Tie Breaker) Read answers to Part 2. Groan and blame weather/Prime Minister/the United Nations.
6. By 10:15 Fax, email or phone Tie Breaker in by 10:15
7. After Step 6 Prepare excuses for your team's abysmal results. Results should be available by 11:30 pm.
Marking: All eight questions in each of the six rounds of Part 1 and Part 2 are worth 1 point. This makes a total of 96 points. The final two points in each round - to reach a total of 100 - are awarded for a bonus question at the end of each Part.
Resources: You are encouraged to use all the brains you have, and the best you can borrow. As in previous years, use of the internet is not permitted. The Quiz is intended to be enjoyed by friends around a table, and not just delegated to someone at a computer keyboard. Thanks for the cooperation.
