Mavoi Satum (In Hebrew ג€“ Dead End) was founded in 1995 with the aim of offering assistance to Agunot and Mesoravot Get in Israel. The organization has two main branches of activity:

  • We give personal assistance to Masoravot Get and Agunot in their struggle for a Jewish divorce;
  • We are publicly working towards promoting a full solution to the problem of get-refusal.

Mavoi Satum is proud to report a significant legal victory for women's status in Israel.

Film Festival - Women & Religion 2008

To commemorate 13 years since the establishment of Mavoi Satum, and in honor of "Yom HaAguna," which takes place on the Fast of Esther, we are continuing our annual tradition of co-sponsoring the "Women and Religion" film festival with the Jerusalem Cinematheque. This two-day festival will include film screenings, lectures, and discussions

Supper Quiz 2008

Being a host is easy. It involves inviting at least eight friends to your home for the evening of the supper quiz. Each person makes a suggested donation to Mavoi Satum.

We provide a two-part trivia quiz. Answers are emailed or faxed to us during the course of the evening and the results are posted on our website by the next day.

You have a great time and good laugh while helping women in Israel rebuild their lives.
